OUR RESTAURANT

At Chef Maria’s Ristorante, we proudly serve Italian-American cuisine because it brings together the best of two culinary traditions: the heritage and time-honored techniques of Italian cooking, combined with the bold flavors, generous portions, and familiar favorites Americans have come to love.

Italian-American cuisine began when Italian immigrants arrived in the United States and adapted their traditional family recipes to the ingredients, abundance, and tastes available in America. Over time, these dishes developed into a distinctive style of cooking. Still rooted in Italian tradition, but richer, heartier, and uniquely American.

Traditional Italian cuisine is often regional, lighter, and more restrained, while Italian-American cuisine is known for robust sauces, plentiful cheeses, satisfying portions, and beloved classics such as chicken Parmesan, baked pasta, meatballs, and other comforting family-style dishes.

We prefer Italian-American cuisine because it allows us to honor the traditions of Italy while also embracing the flavors and dining experience American guests enjoy most.
